Specializing in timeless, classic shapes, Paterson Hat Company builds custom made hats that will last a lifetime. All materials are of the highest quality and are proudly sourced in North America. Using traditional hat making methods with antique, self fabricated and modern tools, each hat is made by hand, one at a time by Paterson.
I designed a website to showcase Paterson's work while facilitating online purchases and custom order inquiries. With it he can manage orders and update the gallery with pictures as hats are finished, photographed and shipped out.
With the hats speaking for themselves I created a straightforward digital experience that puts the workmanship front and center. Monochromatic supporting elements are in stark contrast to the rich felt and lining colors. Serif typeface El-Hidrant communicates the heritage and heirloom qualities of the brand, while san-serif Brandon Grotesque serves to keep things modern and forward looking.
